Well, we had a thunderstorm in the middle of the night last night and this is an all too familiar scene. 

I came across this article and wanted to share. If it wasn't the middle of the night I probably would have gotten out the rescue remedy....

Minnesota Mischief on the Mississippi

Our adventure this weekend was in Minnesota! My always entertaining family took a cruise on my step Dad's second love, The Colonel's Lady. It was such a great weekend minus the fact that Mia thought she could walk on water... The green moss that was growing in stagnant water looked pretty solid (maybe to a googly face)...she walked off the dock without her life jacket and got a nice wet surprise. Mommy to the rescue!

She loved swimming in the Ol' Miss! What a fun weekend and a great experience for Mia.

Mia was rescued from the Naples Florida Humane Society in 2009. She was 7 months old at the time and has been such a great addition to my life. I had never heard of a Catahoula Leopard Hound before so I did some research and decided she would be a perfect fit! It is 2012 and this blog is WAY overdue!
